ABOUT ALIVE
We do not provide onsite registration. Registration is online only.
Since Alive's inaugural youth rally in 2009, our purpose has been to help young people develop a bond between them and God that is unbreakable, and to help them realize that life is not a life at all without Christ. We hope that you will join us for this life changing experience.
Alive Youth Rally is a fully supported ministry of the Spartanburg Seventh-day Adventist Church and endorsed by the Carolina Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
During March 3-4, 2023 the Spartanburg Seventh-day Adventist Church will be holding its 15th annual Alive Youth Rally for young people ages 13+. The event will begin with onsite packet pick-up at 5 PM on Friday, March 3 and again on Saturday, March 4 at 8 AM. Registration is online only, here on this website. We will be capping registration at 500 people. We will close registration on Tuesday, February 28 or when we reach capacity. We cannot accept registrations after registration is closed.
All meals on Saturday are provided for FREE. If you arrive early enough on Friday, we will have some sandwiches ready for you. Breakfast is only for Friday overnight guests. Then everyone for lunch and dinner. See the Event Information page for more info.
PLEASE NOTE: You can bring your own food if you do not prefer what we serve. However, you will not have access to the kitchen nor are you allowed to plug in crock pots or any other electrical appliances.
This year’s Alive Youth Rally is back to a weekend event, starting Friday evening and concluding Saturday night. All attendees are welcome to spend the night Friday and Saturday nights - CAMPING STYLE! There are no sleeping arrangements for inside the buildings. We are working on securing a shower trailer as well.
If you are able, we do suggest a donation of $5 per person to help us with the expenses of the event. You can donate during online registration or bring it with you.
We will have volunteers and sponsors at the event to help supervise. However, we do ask that you bring your own chaperones with you, as we ask that no one under the age of 18 be unsupervised. Any individual registrant under the age of 18 must have their parent/guardian fill out the Alive 2023 Activity/Emergency Contact Form located on the Resources page. All registered groups need to provide their own chaperones.
PLEASE NOTE:
(1) If you are planning to bring a group and stay overnight and you have both boys and girls, you are required to bring male and female chaperones to supervise your youth.
(2) If your 13th birthday is after the Alive weekend, you are allowed to attend, given that your birthday is within a month. Otherwise, anyone under age 13 must be always with an adult.
Worship music is provided by Engage Ministries - A ministry team sponsored by the Enrollment Services Dept. at Southern Adventist University. Engage helps with Youth Rallies, church services, worship gatherings and other events, mostly throughout the Southeastern United States.
ALIVE Speaker

Armando Miranda Jr
Pastor Armando Miranda Jr. from the North American Division Youth and Young Adult Ministries will be our weekend speaker.
Pastor Armando has been happily married to Karen for since 2004, and they share the joy of being the parents of three beautiful and active children, Samuel, Andre, and Juliette.
Being in a local church taught him the challenges and the relevance of club ministries in the life of a church, and also as a great environment to establish a closer relationship with young people. Being at the local Conference helped him to learn from experienced leaders, to collaborate with different people from different backgrounds, and it helped his leadership to grow.
There are many lessons that he has learned through ministry and these are a few:
- Investing in youth is the way to bring life to the church.
- Club ministries is an evangelistic method that every church should have.
- There is nothing to lose by involving and helping young people in the church, but there is so much to lose if we don’t.
His vision is for all young people to come to a knowledge of Christ and to be ready for when He comes a second time.
Pastor Armando's full NAD bio is located here.
